A few days after India took strong action against terror act in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistani army started shooting at the Line of Control (LoC). The Indian Army says that the Pakistani army began firing with small guns. The Indian Army fired back, and so far, no one on the Indian side has been hurt. The people living in villages near Pakistani army posts have begun cleaning out their old underground shelters. People in villages near the border are also getting emergency supplies ready, just in case. After a few years of peace, villagers had stopped thinking about the cross-border firing, but now they are getting ready for things possibly getting worse. Because of the renewed tension, people are fixing up these shelters, which they hadn't used for a while. Security forces in the area are on high alert, and the government has told civilians to be careful.
Meanwhile, video showing fire coming out after a plane crash is in circulation on the social media with the claim that the Pakistan army shot down an Indian Rafale jet along the Line of Control in the Poonch sector of Kashmir.

The claim is False. The video is an old one showing the crash of Air Force Sukhoi Fighter jet in Nashik, Maharashtra.
When we extracted keyframes from the viral video shared in June 2024, with a X user sharing the same video, along with other images of a crashed fighter jet with the caption “#BREAKING: Sukhoi fighter jet of Indian Air Force has crashed in Nashik of Maharashtra. The pilot & co-pilot have ejected safely before the incident. More details are awaited.”
Another X user shared the video in June 2024, with the caption “Bad News coming in from #Nashik. Airforce #Fighter Aircraft #Su30 MKI crashed at Shirasgaon in Nishad taluka. Pilot & Co Pilot ejected Safely. Right now it is with #HAL for overhauling. It was on training sortie. Enquiry ordered. @IAF_MCC @HALHQBLR #IAF”
According to an article published in the Indian Express in June 2024, A Sukhoi fighter plane of the Indian Air Force crashed in Nashik district of Maharashtra. The fighter jet was being flown by Wing Commander Bokil and his second in command Biswas when it crashed in a farm in Shirasgaon village in Nifad tehsil. Both the pilots ejected safely and have suffered minor injuries and were shifted to the HAL hospital.
