After the terrible terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, many Pakistani social media accounts started spreading wrong information and lies about what happened and about India. The Indian government has responded by blocking several Pakistani YouTube channels that were spreading this false information after the Pahalgam attack. Channels like Dawn News and Samaa TV have been blocked in India because they were sharing misleading stories and dangerous misinformation.
India is doing this to fight against online attacks and false information campaigns that are being organized by Pakistani intelligence agencies. The government also plans to take action against unknown accounts that are sharing harmful content that could cause problems in India. According to government sources, these YouTube channels were sharing content that was designed to provoke people, create tension between communities, and spread false information about India, the Indian Army, and other security organizations.
In one such tarnishing attempt, a video showing Indian army offcials walking away from a meeting is being shared online by several YouTube channels with the claim that the Army generals are walking away, after saying that they are not capable of fighting war with Pakistan.
The video is shared online with the captions like “Indian Army generals have walked out of a meeting, saying, "We are not war against Pakistan."

The claim is False. The video is an old one from March 2025.
When we searched the keyframes extracted from the video using Google reverse image search, we found that the video is an old one from March 2025. Several social media users shared the video in March 2025.
A facebook user shared the video with the caption “ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਕਰਨਲ Case ਚ DGP ਤੇ Army officer press conference ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਠੇ ??? #PunjabiNews #PunjabNews #PunjabPolice #armycolonel #ColonelPride #pressconference #viralreelschallenge #viralvideochallenge #viralchallenge. When translated, it states “In the Patiala Colonel Case, the DGP and the Army officer left the press conference in the middle of the press conference???”
An X user named Man Aman Singh Chhina shared the same video with the caption “Chief of Staff Western Command Lt Gen Mohit Wadhwa just scooted (it should be scotted away) away with his senior officers after reading out a statement on the Patiala Colonel without taking any questions. The DGP also read out a statement and left but at least he has answered questions of media in recent days. What is the Army afraid of?”
When searched further about the issue of the press conference, we found the video shared by ANI news YouTube channel, with the title “Army demands strict action against accused in Colonel assault case, probe underway”.
The description of the video states that on the night of March 13, wherein a serving Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath of the Indian army was assaulted by certain Punjab policeman outside a Dhaba at Patiala. The officer was shifted from the civil hospital to the military hospital and thereafter underwent treatment at Chandimandar at the Command Hospital and is presently recuperating from his injuries. The video shows the press conference conduced by the Army officer and also DGP of police together.
In a joint press conference, Gaurav Yadav IPS, DGP Punjab Police and Lt Gen Mohit Wadhwa, Chief of Staff, HQ Western Command address the media and issue a joint statement on assault of serving Colonel by certain @patiala_police policeman at #Patiala

Therefore, the video showing Army official and Police DGP leaving a meeting is not recent and does not show them walking away after announcing that they are incapable to fight with Pakistan. It shows a press conference where Punjab police DGP and army official were leaving a press conference after giving their statements without answering any questions from the press. The claim is False.
